Pretty easy to understand!

This was a pretty easy-to-follow and understand textbook. Sometimes, though, the language is a little too basic, and makes the reader feel as if he were a child. Overall, the book was written clearly and made learning statistics a lot more bearable.

Ok for undergraduate statistics course, but could be better.

Pros:
Includes a good amount of the theory behind the statistics
Good choice of statistical symbols, for the most part.
Easy to read and understand.
Cons:
Some chapters really dumb things down too much, especially in the first handful of chapters.
There are some important typos (aside from those on the list of known errors).
I think the use of names like Bubbles and Foofy in the sample problems is a bit cheesy.
Students found the homework problems to be too difficult to interpret and often approached the problems incorrectly.
Expensive (but aren't they all)...

Much better than I expected

I ordered the ebook version of this textbook, as I didn't need a hard copy. I found that the ebook version was very user friendly (opened via kindle app on IPhone). It was easy to scan through when searching for something. It was also convenient when looking things up by topic. In no way did the ebook version hold me back.
The text within the book was also very helpful for me within my statistics class. I was retaking the course, since I failed the first time. The book I had in the course before had no examples, and very little information to help. I was concerned that this book would be the same. This textbook is great though. It contains multiple examples. One thing that could possibly be a set back is the terminology. The definitions were extremely technical, making it difficult to put them in real world terms. Luckily, I had taken the course before, so it wasn't a foreign concept to me. However, if you are new to this topic, it may be hard to correlate to terms that you are familiar with. One benefit is that the technical terms that the book utilizes are very similar to what your professors will anticipate within your work.
