Cute enough but weird pages
By L. Harrison
This board book helps define feelings for young children. 6 illustrations show various animals preparing for a party, and explains what they feel. "Lion can't find his friends. Lion feels sad." Is page one.
My 18-month, now 2 yr old, much prefers another book with a similar theme, "I feel happy". http://www.amazon.com/Feel-Happy-Slide-Little-Learners/dp/1445457369/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1357275188&sr=1-2&keywords=i+feel+happy.
Instead of standard board book pages, this book has regular paper pages glued to dividers. It makes it feel like chunks of pages are stuck together. It is confusing to my child, who keeps trying to pull the paper off the divider when she is turning the page.
The 6 illustrations are cute, but this is just not a book she chooses.

Great introduction to feelings
By sugnim
This book is perfect for introducing infants and young toddlers to their emotions. The book is sturdy, but very light weight so that even an infant can hold it. It covers feelings such as happiness, sadness, silliness, sneakiness, and others as it tells the story of animals planning a surprise party. Our 7 month old son loves this book.
